Our Location

Crook Hall Farm is situated in the village of Bispham, in heart of rural west Lancashire in the North West of England. Although surrounded by countryside we are only a 10-minute drive from Junction 27 of the M6.

The coast of Southport, leading to Ainsdale and Formby, famous for its red squirrels, is only a scenic 30-minute drive away. Also if you drive north up the M6 for an hour you enter the beautiful Lake District.

If you fancy visiting a city, Preston is within a 30-minute drive and Liverpool and Manchester are within an hour. We also have a direct train line to Manchester from our neighboring village Parbold, and also to Liverpool, via Ormskirk, from Croston on our other side. Trains also go to direct to Southport from Parbold.

Cliff and Claire have got this cottage absolutely right. Quality kitchen equipment and comfortable furnishings throughout. The hosts are so helpful and thoughtfull.Nothing was too much trouble. We had a problem with the tv on the first day and Claire promptly went out and bought another one. We would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting a peaceful rural location.

We stayed in Maltkiln Cottage, it was a really lovely cottage, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very warm and cosy with everything you needed to relax and enjoy your stay. You could sit and watch the chickens wandering by the patio doors and see the horses in the paddock, it was in a lovely spot. Claire and Cliff were very kind and welcoming. There is plenty to see in the area and some lovely places to eat out, we would highly recommend a holiday here.

We were visiting Lancashire overnight in November and were delighted when we found out that Barn Owl cottage was available. Its a fantastic cottage, beautifully restored to a high specification by the friendly and welcoming owners Claire and Cliff, who live nearby in the main farm house. Its really well equipped, with everything you could need for a short break, and is very roomy – more than enough space for a family of 4.
